The Highlander Scottish Pub

We saw the Scottish flag flying outside and we were drawn in. The pub is situated underground. It feels like a gigantic cave like most hospitality venues in the area.

The roof is decorated with numerous styles of tartan which creates a cosy feel. The atmosphere was a mix between medieval, punk and an attempt of a typical old Scottish pub.

There were plenty of whiskeys to choose from, Belhaven beer on draft and a few usual spirits. The pub was right across from our accommodation. It was open until 7 am in the morning (Friday and Saturday Night, 3 am any other night).

It is always good going abroad and seeing a few small things that remind you of home!

Beer House

Next, on the list for the best pubs is the Austrian themed venue, although we thought it seemed more Ukrainian. The interior decoration is very interesting and helps build a great atmosphere.

This place was queued when we got there. The staff were friendly and the service was super quick despite it being busy.

People usually rave about the beers and garlic bread. So, make sure you book in advance.
